How mobile proxies actually work
A mobile proxy routes your request through a device on a cellular network. The exit address belongs to the carrier — Vodafone, Verizon, Jio — not to a hosting provider or a home broadband line.
What makes these addresses uniquely durable is carrier-grade NAT. Mobile operators do not have enough IPv4 space to give every subscriber a public address, so they multiplex thousands of real customers behind each one. A site that blocks a mobile IP is blocking a chunk of a city, so most simply do not.
The trade-off is cost and throughput. Cellular uplinks are slower and more variable than fibre, and the pool is much smaller than residential. Reach for mobile when a target has specifically defeated your residential traffic, not as a default.
